Is it a struggle to get your child or family member to wear a face mask? Here are some tips to help those that are struggle adapting to wearing masks:
• Demonstrate using the face mask on an object or person that the individual is comfortable with, such as a stuffed animal, doll, or another family member. • Allow the person to choose among different types of fabric face masks to find one that is most comfortable. • Start by practicing wearing the face mask for short durations of time, allowing for breaks when needed. • Remain calm, cheerful, and supportive whenever you place your mask on to set the example of mask wearing part of a routine. • Begin by planning outings in low-demand environments that are quiet and calm so that the individual can experience success wearing the face mask. • Use a printed or digital photo of the individual wearing a face mask as a visual cue to wear the mask before going out. The photo can be placed close to the door, on a tablet, or object of comfort that is easily accessible. • Consider a transparent mask which makes the mouth visible and may help with better communication. ... Perham BCS participated in a "Fall Festival" this past week. They had several dress up days, including hat day, superhero day, pajama day and more! There’s no surprise when it’s said that bullying is a major problem among the school-aged children of the US. However, the very unfortunate part is that according to a new national survey, bullying is an increasingly big problem for kids with autism and Asperger’s syndrome.
It absolutely should be changed! Shame on the people who feel it’s funny to do this. They must feel bad about themselves!!!! I guess having parents who teach you never to make fun of anyone who is different. Glad I was taught that!!!
